| CESKY KRUMLOV - UNESCO listed town:
Cesky Krumlov located on the Vltava River and became an important stop on regional trade routes. Construction of the town and castle began in the late 13th century. Most of the architecture of the old town and castle region dates from the 14th to the 17th century. Structures are in Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. The heart of the old town is within a horseshoe bend in the river, with the old Latran neighborhood and castle on the other side of the Vltava. Krumlov The castle is unusually large and fine for a town of Cesky Krumlov's size; within the Czech Republic it is second only in size to the castle complex of Prague. Cesky Krumlov is listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
